“I was born and raised in Utah and am a native English speaker. I have graduated from Caitlin Pyle’s Proofreading Anywhere, Ellen Feld’s Grammar Lion, and have taken extensive classes in English at Utah Valley University. I fell in love with reading at a young age. I read anything that I could get my hands on all through school. As I got older, I learned to enjoy writing as well, and English was my favorite subject in school. As a word nerd, I became the go-to walking dictionary and thesaurus for my friends. I was also the irritating grammar nazi who corrected all of my friends’ text messages. In my adult life, I enjoy using my skills to help people make dreams into reality, and turning writing into masterpieces. My favorite book is Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. I’ve loved all of Sarah M Eden’s novels, and I think Laini Taylor’s Strange The Dreamer is one of the most poetic pieces of work today. Outside of reading, I also enjoy poetry slams, ballroom dancing—specifically cabaret, and anything else that has to do with the arts. I also love taking adventures with my amazing husband and spending time with our friends and family.”
